British emissions-free delivery company XeroE has integrated its platform with Metapack and Shopify and now features on the Quickbooks users sustainable marketplace.
E-commerce retailers using these platforms can now easily select urban and suburban deliveries in major UK cities using XeroE’s fleets of bikes, cargo bikes, and electric moped, cars and vans.
These collaborations enable our retail partners to achieve their net zero objectives with science based emissions savings tracking and, as the world’s highest scoring B Corp logistics company, creditable carbon neutral certification.
Increased demand for home delivery from the recent Covid lockdown looks set to stay as shopping habits shift further online. For the first time in its 500 year history Royal Mail recently announced parcel revenues have overtaken letters after seeing unprecedented volume growth this year, with people spending significantly more time at home and unable to go shopping in-store. This growth in home delivery has continued with Black Friday sales and the peak Christmas shopping period increasingly being done online with the ability to ship from store
In this growing e-commerce market, the delivery carrier plays an important part in the whole customer experience.
Customers want reliable, fast, responsive and flexible delivery times that fit around their lifestyles and schedules. But they also want to see that the brand they have chosen is acting sustainably – 68% of consumers take the brand’s sustainability credentials into account when making a purchase decision. If that product is then delivered by a diesel or petrol van the suspicion of greenwashing arises immediately. The investment the brand has made in making the rest of its supply chain sustainable, its packaging, its marketing messages are devalued.
Last year XeroE covered over ½ million miles in customer deliveries equivalent to 11 times round the earth's circumference 340,000 deliveries. This means XeroE has saved the equivalent in emissions to charge 11 million mobile phones and plant 112 acres of forest
XeroE is fast becoming the delivery firm of choice for purpose driven businesses, including popular British brands Bloom & Wild and Crack Magazine. Its availability on these platforms as an option for green deliveries using its micro distribution hubs and multi modal emission free fleet will enable more small and large scale UK businesses to improve their sustainability performance and match their customers’ preferences.
Central to the B Corp mission is a desire to encourage others to align their practices with the UN Sustainability Goals. XeroE is supporting customers in better reporting of their carbon footprint using their emissions calculator and the savings they make by switching to clean air deliveries.
XeroE currently delivers in urban areas across London, Bristol, Bath and Manchester using a fleet of bikes, cargo bikes, e-cars and e-vans, and has plans to expand into other UK cities next year. The transport business scored 108.8 in the B Impact Assessment – the rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.
Core to XeroE’s practice is a genuine commitment to the environment, its people, the wider community, and its customers. XeroE’s people are its most prized asset, the business ensures those working in the gig economy are given a London living wage for personal and community health. The community also benefits through XeroE’s clean air incentive, which champions better health for cities and residences.
Steve Evans, CEO and co-founder of XeroE, comments:
“We’re delighted to cooperate with Metapack, Shopify and Quickbooks to provide more ethical businesses with an easy option to switch to sustainable last mile deliveries.
XeroE was founded with one mission: to improve the quality of air in cities across the UK. These integrations will enable us to the quality of life for those who live, work and breathe in our cities.”
